SNOW WEEKEND
AT MARIN SIERRA! Pack 28's
annual Snow Play Getaway Friday, January
27 - Sunday January 29th, 2006

us! The Ibach Lodge at
Marin Sierra is reserved for our pack on the weekend of January 27 -
29. Camp Marin Sierra is located on Highway 20,
1 mile west of the intersection with US 80 at 5,100 feet elevation. The Ibach Lodge accommodates up to 40 people.
An adult must accompany each Scout unless otherwise formally
arranged. Additional family
members may attend. The cost is $40.00 per person and includes Ibach Lodge rental
and meals from Friday night through Sunday morning. Scouts and parents must make their own travel arrangements. Checks
should be made out to "Cub Scout Pack 28" and returned
with this form to Cubmaster Alfia Wallace as soon as possible. If you have questions please contact tour leader Art Wallace

SNOW TRIP Equipment
List
Clothing:
Hat: should be wool, polartec or other warm synthetic material
(1)
Long underwear: tops and bottoms made of capalene, polartec
or similar material (2 sets)
Boots: waterproof mountaineering boots or sorrels (1 pair)
Gaiters if necessary with boots
Socks: synthetic liners with wool or synthetic pile outer socks
(3 sets min.)
Pants: wool or pile (2 pairs)
Exterior shell: Waterproof parka and pants. Good materials are Gore-text or similar fabric
(1 set)
Gloves: waterproof (1 - 2 pair)
Slippers or tennis shoes for inside the Lodge
To have a quality experience in the snow, scouts need to stay
warm and dry. You should avoid
wearing garments that are made of cotton as once cotton gets wet it
stays wet and cold. Synthetic
materials or wool can get wet but still keep you warm.
Keep in mind that the average daytime temperature at Marin Sierra
during the winter is 28 - 42 degrees F.
Personal Items:
Headlamp or flashlight with extra batteries * Sunglasses or tinted ski goggles (*required) Sun protectant (SPF 20 or more) Lip protectant Camera and film (optional) Sleeping bag Pillow or create a pillow by filling your sleeping bag sack
with clothes. Medications if necessary.
Extras:
Sleds
and snowshoes may be available for rent at Marin Sierra but you should
bring your own if you have them in case. Bring ski or snowboard equipment
if you plan to ski or snowboard. PLEASE NO GAMEBOYS OR ELECTRONIC
GAMES IN THE LODGE.
