the winter is 28 - 42 degrees F.
Personal Items:
Headlamp or flashlight with extra batteries
* Sunglasses or tinted ski goggles (*required)
Sun protectant (SPF 20 or more)

Extras:
There are little snowmobiles for rent at Marin Sierra so you
may want to bring some extra cash if you want to rent one.

From Marin County, travel about 150 miles east on Highway
37 and Interstate 80. |
|
|
After passing Auburn, travel another 30 miles. |
|
|
Exit for US Highway 20, and take it west towards Grass
Valley. This exit is about 20 miles west of Truckee. |
|
|
Follow US 20 for about 1/2 mile, and watch for a small
sign on your right for Camp Marin-Sierra. |
|
|
Turn right into the parking lot. Usually, the ranger
prefers that most vehicles park on two rows in the center of the lot,
especially in winter so that he can plow around the perimeter of the lot.
In summer, overflow vehicles can park around the perimeter. |
