Up! Families can attend Wings Over Wine Country Airshow: 100
Years of Powered Flight on August 23rd & 24th from 9:30am - 4:00pm.
The Gates will open at 9:30am for pre-show activities including radio
controlled model aircraft demonstration. The main Airshow events will

Fri. Sept. 12 3 - 4 PM Webelos Meeting, Dixie MPR
Agenda: Start work on Science badge. Covering: Atmospheric pressure,
Fog, Center of Gravity, How your eyes work together, Optical illusions.
Fri. Sept. 19, 3 - 4 PM Wolf Meeting, Dixie MPR
Agenda: Paper airplanes, balloon rocket races, mini-airplane
models
Sat, Sept.
20. 10AM. Pacific Coast Air Museum, Santa Rosa. Cubs will
get a docent-led tour of a helicopter, an Albatross seaplane, and possibly
the F-86. They will also learn about the Wright Brothers. Boys can work
on Bear Elective 6: Aircraft this coming month.
Meeting Place: Schilling home at 9AM. Please bring a bagged snack. We
will return home around 12PM. Please come in uniform.
Saturday, Sept. 20 3.30 - 4.30 PM, Webelos Meeting,
A. Wallace home
Agenda: Science badge: Bernoulli's principle, Water pressure, Pascal's
law, Inertia, Aeronautics.
Wed. Sept. 24 6.30 PM Pack Meeting, Dixie
Elementary. Art Wallace brings his Remote-control airplanes to the meeting
along with a computer and flight-simulator software for scouts and parents
to try out. Flight-themed song: "Up in the Air, Junior Birdman".
Sat. Sept.
27 10 AM Terwilliger Wildcare, San Rafael. Cubs will get
a docent-led tour of this local wildlife rehabilitation center which
focuses on local fauna. Exhibits feature many local birds such as ravens,
pelicans, ducks, egrets and acorn woodpeckers.
